On Saturday 3 September 2022, the i3Secure Directors hosted a company away day at the iconic Ascot racecourse as part of the late-summer Flat racing September Racing Weekend.
Colleagues and their partners traveled from around the UK to come together and celebrate the end of a busy summer following a rapid year of growth for the company, whilst enjoying some horse racing at the prestigious Berkshire venue.
Despite a few brief downpours in the morning, the blue sky appeared just as everyone arrived to watch the afternoon’s action from the elevated terraces of the King Edward VII enclosure.
As the drinks and conversation flowed in the late summer sunshine, the racing saw some thrilling close action including the Lavazza Stakes, a valuable Heritage Handicap run over a mile-and-a-half.
Those in the team that tried their luck enjoyed an impressive streak of wins, whilst others watched on and simply enjoyed the spectacle of the event.
Once the racing had concluded, the team collected their winnings and made their way to Bluebells for a three-course meal at a local fine-dining restaurant. Dinner was served in the private dining room, giving everyone the opportunity to relax and reflect on the events of the day.
Mike O’Regan, Co-Founder and Director said ‘We’ve got a great team and we think it’s important to say thank you for all the hard work with days like this where we can all have fun together in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. We’ve grown considerably over the last year so it’s also becoming more and more essential that we continue to get together for team days where we can meet new colleagues, learn more about each other and build that sense of unity.’
i3Secure have welcomed a few new faces in recent months, including Adrian Cooper, Charlie Rae, Benn Grimshaw and newest recruit, Data Protection Consultant Jools Davis.
