We’re proud to share that Emma Brooks, a valued member of the i3Secure team, has been awarded a place on the Empowering Women to Lead in Cyber Security programme—a prestigious initiative designed to develop a community of confident, capable female leaders within the cyber security industry.
Having attended an part of the course last week, we asked Emma more about it.
“I applied for the course to support my transition into the cyber security industry and support my ongoing development. I want to lead implementation projects to success with confidence and credibility and challenge my previous leadership experience gained in the Army.
“The programme felt like the perfect fit for me to achieve this, as I can step outside my comfort zone and immerse myself with incredible women who will bring fresh perspectives but familiar challenges.
“So far, I have benefitted from individual coaching sessions which have given me a new direction in building relationships with senior leaders, as well as face to face seminars which are guiding me in a journey of self and social discovery to refine leadership behaviours and techniques.
“The programme will end with a graduation event where I will be required to test my public speaking skills amongst peers and leaders. A challenge which feels daunting but will be a fantastic way to round off an engaging and empowering journey.
“I am incredibly grateful to my male allies and leaders within i3Secure for their support and active encouragement of this development journey.”
We’re very proud of Emma for her participation in the programme. Well done, Emma!
