The Battle of Britain remains the greatest air battle in history, a pivotal moment that changed the course of the Second World War.
This remarkable event is honoured annually by the RAF with a church service at Westminster Abbey, followed by a formal reception at Church House. This year marked the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, with two of our dedicated team members supporting security for this prestigious occasion.
The service and reception were attended by a number of distinguished figures, including the UK Prime Minister, the Lord Mayor of Westminster, the Chief of the Defence Staff, the Chief of the Air Staff, and many members of the RAF Senior Leadership Team, both past and present. It was a fitting tribute to those who fought to protect our skies and secure the future of our nation.
Among the team ensuring the smooth running of the event were our own consultants, Mark Robson and Lee Close, both of whom continue to serve as reservists while maintaining full-time roles at i3Secure. We take great pride in their dual commitment to military service and their dedication to our clients.
Lee, who led the security for the event, shared his thoughts, saying, “It is always an honour to get back into uniform and celebrate the successes of the service that looked after me for the majority of my career. Amazing weather and a great team helped ensure that the day went without incident, Per Ardua ad Astra.”
At i3Secure, we are deeply committed to supporting the Armed Forces Covenant and fostering our strong ties with the UK military. It is an ongoing privilege to celebrate the achievements of those who serve and to honour the sacrifices made by all those who dedicate their lives to protecting our nation.
The Battle of Britain remains a symbol of resilience, bravery, and unwavering dedication, values that continue to inspire us all.
