A Day of National Pride and Personal Reflection
On Saturday 28 June, the UK comes together to celebrate Armed Forces Day: a moment to honour the dedication, courage, and sacrifice of the men and women who serve, or have served, in the British Armed Forces.
At i3Secure, this day holds special significance. Many of our team members have worn the uniform, and their experiences continue to shape our values, our work, and our commitment to service.
It’s more than a date on the calendar; it’s a powerful reminder of the strength, resilience, and unity that define our Armed Forces community. It’s a time to reflect, to honour, and to support those who have given so much in the name of duty.
Voices from Our Team: What Armed Forces Day Means to Us
Daryl Adams, who served 30 years in the Royal Air Force, reflects:
“Having served 30 years in the RAF, Armed Forces Day is a deeply personal moment of pride and reflection, honouring the camaraderie, commitment, and sacrifices of all who serve, past and present.”
This sentiment is echoed by Lee Close, who reminds us that the bonds formed in service extend far beyond the battlefield:
“Armed Forces Day is an opportunity to reflect on careers spent in lands far from home, with people who you can depend upon. Those people need our support beyond our military days as they undertake the adventures of conflict on our behalf.”
Adrian Cooper reminds us that this day is for everyone — not just those in uniform:
“It’s a time for reflection, inclusion and celebration: not only for serving and retired personnel but for the nation as a whole. A chance to come together and understand what our Forces do, how they can be supported and share memories of good and bad times together.”

Celebrating Courage, Tradition, and Sacrifice
Jason McAdam speaks to the importance of recognising the bravery and heritage of our Armed Forces:
“Armed Forces Day is a time to honour the courage of our service personnel, celebrate our proud military traditions, and show gratitude for the sacrifices made to protect our freedom.”
It’s also a time of quiet remembrance. Mark Robson shares:
“It’s a time of pride and reflection for me, my family, and those I served with. We honour the bonds we built and quietly remember those who never came home.”
And for Charles Rae, it’s about the people; the family forged in service:
“My brothers and sisters, my extended family and the ones that never made it back. Armed Forces Day is about the people you’ve stood beside, laughed with, cried with, leaned on, and grieved for. It’s about loyalty, sacrifice, and the unbreakable bond forged in duty to our country.”
Standing Together, Today and Every Day
Armed Forces Day is a time to come together: to honour the past, support the present, and inspire the future. At i3Secure, we are proud to stand with our Armed Forces community, not just on 28 June, but every day of the year.
To all who have served, are serving, and to the families who support them — thank you. Your courage, commitment, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
From Service to Cyber Security: A Journey of Adaptation
At i3Secure, we’re proud to support veterans as they transition into new careers. Many of our consultants bring with them not only technical expertise but also the discipline, leadership, and mission-focus honed through military service.
